Group Exercise Classes are Part of Your Membership

Have fun and get fit as you build friendships within our supportive Y community. The Granite YMCA offers a wide variety of weekly group exercise and aquatics classes for all ages and fitness levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Our friendly, supportive instructors design all classes to help keep you motivated and on track.

GROUP EXERCISE CLASS TYPES

Cardio fitness classes include all levels of Cycling, Zumba, Tabata, Kickboxing, dance cardio classes, and more. These classes are designed to get your heart rate up and keep you moving. Class offerings and times vary by location

We have partnered with MOSSA to deliver world-class group fitness workout classes to suit every member! Strength Train Together is a full-body strength training hour that makes you muscle strong and movement strong! Using an adjustable barbell, plates, and your body weight, you’ll experience traditional exercises from the weight room, plus three dimensional, integrated movement training, for results in real life and real sport. Strength Train Together is for everyone, and we think it’s the most fun you can have strength training.

Strength based classes include all levels of TRX, Core Express, Boot Camp, Kettlebells, Fit4Life, Tabata & Tone, Strength & Core, Pilates, and more. These classes are designed to build strength and muscle with some classes targeting specific muscle groups. Class offerings and times vary by location

Mind and body classes include all levels of Yoga, Meditation, Pilates, Barre, Stretching, and more. These classes aim to improve flexibility and core strength. Class offerings and times vary by location

Water exercise classes take place in the pool and allow members to enjoy the feeling of weightless exercise. Our water classes improve flexibility, range of motion, core stability, and balance, and can be modified to all abilities. Water exercise classes include Arthritis, Aqua Pi-Yo-Chi, Aqua Zumba, Limber Limbs, Water Aerobics, Water Walking, Silver Sneakers, and more. Class offerings and times vary by location

KidZone! (ages 6 weeks – 6 years) and KZ+ (school age – pre-teen) are available daily, during peak hours, while adults enjoy their own programs or classes as the Y. KidZone and KZ+ will be held in separate age appropriate spaces where children will enjoy a variety of different activities. Adults can enjoy their time at the Y knowing that their child is in a safe and supportive environment with trained, professional staff.

KidZone and KZ+ are free for those with family memberships. Days and hours of availability vary by location. Please visit your local branch page to see daily and weekly KidZone! hours of operation.
