Everything In Between

The YMCA is so much more than a gym and swim. In additional to our typical wellness offerings, summer camps, child care, and enrichment programs, the Y also provides specialty programs and initiatives that help strengthen our communities. We host activities for seniors to help them maintain physical fitness and stay engaged, nourish our neighbors by supplying healthy food to those in need, provide a meeting place for caregivers in our Parenting a Second Time Around Program, helping to develop the next generation of youth development professionals, and even increase resiliency of youth and their families through our YYOUTH Matter program.

Community Programs That Make a Difference

  • Programs That Support, Connect, and Empower

At the Granite YMCA, our programs go far beyond traditional fitness classes. Through a variety of community-focused initiatives, we strive to support individuals and families at every stage of life. From youth development programs that help children build confidence and resilience to supportive resources for caregivers and older adults, the YMCA works to create a welcoming space where everyone can grow and thrive.

  • Programs That Support, Connect, and Empower

Many of these programs focus on strengthening the community by meeting real local needs. Initiatives like food support programs help ensure families have access to nutritious meals, while support groups provide guidance and connection for caregivers and grandparents raising children. Programs for active older adults offer opportunities to stay physically active, socially engaged, and connected with others in the community.

By offering these programs alongside our wellness, child care, and summer camp opportunities, the YMCA continues its mission of building stronger communities through support, education, and meaningful connections.

Who These Programs Are For

Supporting Individuals and Families Across Our Community

Community programs at the YMCA provide opportunities for older adults to stay active, engaged, and connected with others. Whether through wellness activities, social gatherings, or educational opportunities, these programs help support healthy aging while fostering meaningful friendships and a sense of belonging.

Many YMCA initiatives are designed to support families navigating everyday challenges. These programs offer access to helpful resources, guidance, and community connections that help families feel supported while building stronger, healthier households.

Some members of our community take on the important role of raising children later in life. YMCA programs provide support, encouragement, and shared experiences for caregivers and grandparents who are guiding the next generation while balancing unique responsibilities.

The YMCA also provides pathways for individuals interested in meaningful careers that support children, families, and the community. Training programs and apprenticeships help participants develop valuable skills while preparing for roles that make a lasting impact.

Young people benefit from programs that encourage leadership, personal growth, and positive decision-making. Through mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and community involvement, youth participants gain confidence and tools that support their success both now and in the future.
