Granite YMCA’s Early Learning Centers provide a secure and supportive environment for infants through kindergarteners, with a focus on holistic child development and early childhood education. Our early learning center offers dedicated staff, age-appropriate curriculum, and engaging activities that encourage foundational learning, social development, imaginative play, and motor skill growth. Through our early childhood education programs, children can explore, learn, and build confidence in a fun and nurturing early childhood center.     Infant - Toddler

    6 Weeks - 36 Months

    At the Y, our early learning center understands that a child’s first classroom experiences can help shape future academic and social growth. Our caring teaching teams at our early childhood center work each day to encourage curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

    Within our nurturing infant and toddler classrooms, children participate in developmentally appropriate activities that support early childhood education through positive social interaction, fine and gross motor skill development, imaginative play, and early exposure to literacy and mathematics concepts. Children also enjoy outdoor exploration, engaging activities, and healthy morning and afternoon snacks that help prepare them for active learning experiences.

    Preschool Program

    3 - 4 Years

    Discover the magic of the YMCA’s Preschool Program, an early learning academy where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment designed for early childhood education.

    Children enjoy opportunities to stay active, build new skills, explore nature, and create meaningful friendships and memories. Our caring role models provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere that supports physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development. As part of our early childhood education programs, children participate in outdoor play, STEM activities, social-emotional learning, creative expression, nutrition activities, healthy snacks, and more in an engaging early learning center environment.

    Pre-K Program

    4 - 5 Years

    Families searching for preschool programs can discover a fun and engaging learning experience at the Granite YMCA. Designed to inspire curiosity and encourage a love of learning, our Pre-K Program helps prepare children for future classroom success through hands-on early childhood education experiences.

    Our friendly child care staff creates a safe and supportive environment where children can build confidence, explore new ideas, and strengthen important developmental skills. From outdoor play and physical activity to STEM exploration and creative learning opportunities, every day in our early learning academy encourages growth, teamwork, and discovery.

    Kindergarten Programs

    5+ Years

    The YMCA offers part-time and full-time kindergarten options, along with kindergarten wraparound programs that include transportation to and from select schools.

    Our childcare services staff is committed to creating a caring and engaging early learning center environment where children can continue building confidence, independence, and social connections. Through our early childhood education programs, kindergarten and pre-K students participate in enriching activities that support academics, physical fitness, outdoor play, STEM learning, creative arts, and social-emotional growth in a fun and supportive setting.
