The Granite YMCA Announces Jeremy Walker as Chief Volunteer Officer

JEREMY WALKER, ESQ. TO SERVE 2-YEAR TERM AS CHIEF VOLUNTEER OFFICER FOR THE GRANITE YMCA BOARD

Manchester, New Hampshire (March 1, 2024): The Granite YMCA is proud to announce Jeremy Walker, Esq., as the new Chief Volunteer Officer of The Granite YMCA Board of Directors.

Best known for his litigation skills, Jeremy Walker is a director in the McLane Middleton Litigation Department practicing business litigation, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and construction litigation.

His work with The Granite YMCA began as a member of the Advisory Board for the Manchester branch, and he has become a valued member of the Y family since that time. At the recent January Board of Directors meeting, Walker was unanimously elected Chief Volunteer Officer.

As such, Walker will preside over all meetings of the Board of Directors and will serve as a leader in the strategic business of The Granite YMCA.

“I am very proud to serve in the capacity of Chief Volunteer Officer for this great organization. I have deep respect for the work of the Y and the profound impact all branches have on the communities they serve. I am honored and humbled to be asked to provide a guiding hand in the strategic direction of the Y and I look forward to working with all of the board members and leaders within the organization to achieve our goals to advance the mission of the Y,” Walker said.

Michele Sheppard, CEO of The Granite YMCA shared, “Having Jeremy’s steady guidance is of tremendous importance to the organization as a whole. We look to the Board for well-reasoned and caring leadership that will push us to challenge the organization to be the very best it can be as we respond to the changing needs of the communities we serve.

Jeremy Walker will serve as Chief Volunteer Officer for a two-year term.
