The Granite YMCA Child Care

At The Granite YMCA, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our school age child care and early learning center programs focus on providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. In our child care centers, toddlers develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world, and school-age children make friends, learn new skills and get to be physically active after school. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow. During the 2022 - 2023 School Year:

Early Learning Center
Early Learning Center

The YMCA's Early Learning Centers are about more than just looking after children. It is about nurturing their development. We provide a safe place for children to learn foundational skills, develop trusting relationships, and build self reliance.

Open year round, registration for the YMCA's Early Learning Centers is ongoing on a space-available basis.

Our program stimulates children’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. We provide a highly trained staff in a warm, caring, and fun environment that encourages their natural curiosity and personal expression. Our age-appropriate curriculum helps academically engage children while emphasizing social skills, imaginative play, and motor development. Children participate in fun physical activities and character-building programs such as:
- Group games & team building activities
- Physical education classes
- Story time and reading
- Arts & crafts
- Before and after school care
- Morning and afternoon snack
All of our programs and activities incorporate the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. When your child is enrolled full time in the Early Learning Center in Manchester, Concord, or Rochester, you receive a FREE family membership.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance

At the Y, we do offer financial assistance for those families in need. We also accept State of New Hampshire reimbursements. Proof of assistance and a completed child care provider form (1863) must be provided at time of registration. All families who receive financial assistance, whether through the Y or the State, must also stay current with their payments. Families are responsible for all fees not paid by the state. The state will not generally pay for any absences, nor will they pay late or no-call fees, or for days in which your child is picked up early and does not attend the minimum number of hours.
