Wintervention Challenge

5 weeks. 20 minutes a day. 100s of teammates. 1 better you. 2020 was a year focused on change, innovation, and supporting our families. We believe 2021 should be the year to focus on ourselves. The Y is here to help you do just that.
About Wintervention Starting February 1, join us for Wintervention - a five week program designed to support your journey towards a better you. Throughout Wintervention, we as a community will be encouraged to 'move' for 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week. To keep things interesting and to encourage a whole better you, each week has been given a theme. The Y will provide motivation, ideas, and activities based on each weekly theme to keep you going. Challenge yourself, have some fun, and give yourself a good Wintervention. | How to Participate Although registration is closed, you may still join in on Wintervention and access each week's activities on our website. We have also created a private Wintervention Facebook group for all challenge participants to join. This group is for us to come together as a community, post our wellness journeys, and to encourage others as they work to complete the challenge. For those who wish to participate offline, printed copies of the 5 week calendar will be available at each of our Wellness Centers starting Monday, February 1 or you may print your own copy below. |
Let's get to the fun part: THE CHALLENGES! Throughout the duration of the challenge, we will be releasing new activities each Friday for you to participate in. We encourage you to participate in any or all of our suggested activities, but feel free to come up with your own! The goal is for you to stay active for at least 20 minutes a day for 5 days each week. The path you choose to take is completely up to you. Wintervention participants are welcome to join any of our virtual wellness classes for free throughout the challenge! Don't forget, all challenge participants may join our virtual wellness classes for free throughout the challenge. That's an easy way to check off your 20 minutes of activity for the day!
