YMCA EXPANDING KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM FOR NEW BOSTON FAMILIES
The YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown, a branch of The Granite YMCA has been busy growing and improving its programs. As a result, to meet the needs of the community, the YMCA will expand its Kindergarten Wrap Around Program to families of New Boston.
“The Kindergarten Wrap Around Program is designed to expand half-day education by having students participate in developmentally appropriate activities. Students will take part in fun, educational and creative activities, based on the kindergarten curriculum,” said Nicci Larochelle, Child Care Director at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown.
Located at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown, the Kindergarten Wrap Around Program classroom will be ready for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year on September 3, 2019.
Interested families will have three class options to choose from:
- Morning Program from 7:00 – 11:00 am. Parents drop off their kindergarten student at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown in the morning. The YMCA will provide busing for the students to their appropriate kindergarten school midday. The student will then ride the district-provided bus home as normally scheduled.
- Afternoon Program from 10:30 am – 6:00 pm. Parents drop off their kindergarten student at school, and then the YMCA will provide busing for the students from school to the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown. Parents pick up their child at the YMCA that evening.
- Morning Program from 7:00 – 11:00 am with extended after school care from 2:10 – 6:00 pm. Parents drop off their kindergarten student at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown in the morning. At the conclusion of the school program, the YMCA will provide busing back to the YMCA for extended after school care. Parents pick up their child at the YMCA that evening.
“In our care, children receive an introduction to enriching curriculum, outdoor play, nutrition & fitness, healthy snacks, STEM, character development, gymnastics, sports, choice time and much more” Larochelle said. “We even offer daily bus service to and from New Boston Central School to make it convenient for working parents.”
