YMCA Expanding Child Care To Pre-K
The YMCA of Greater Londonderry, a branch of The Granite YMCA has been busy growing and improving its programs. As a result, to meet the needs of the community, the YMCA will expand child care to Pre-K designed for 4-year-olds.
“This decision has helped to make us a great choice for early kindergarten for parents who do not want to hold their young scholars back just because they don’t turn 5 before September 30,” said Stacy Neville, Child Care Director for the YMCA of Greater Londonderry.
Located at the YMCA of Greater Londonderry, the Pre-K classroom will be ready for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year on August 27, 2019. Neville said she and the rest of the staff are excited about the kindergarten expansion, and to continue to offer a quality educational programs to the families of Londonderry and the surrounding areas.
The program will be open from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm with full time and part time options available.
“In our care, children receive an introduction to enriching curriculum, outdoor play, nutrition & fitness, healthy snack, STEM, character development, cooking, choice time and much more” Neville said. “We provide unique opportunities for kids to reach their full potential by supporting their youth development journey through holistic programming.”
Registration for the 2019-2020 school year opens to families beginning April 23, 2019. To view or register for child care programs online, visit www.graniteymca.org/child-care
