Welcome Kelli McKenna
The YMCA of the Seacoast, a branch of The Granite YMCA, is pleased to announce that Kelli McKenna has been named as its branch director.
“We are very excited to announce the appointment of Kelli as the Branch Director of the YMCA of the Seacoast,” said Michele Sheppard, Chief Operating Officer of The Granite YMCA. “Kelli comes to us with many years of experience and has all of the skills to be successful in this role. We are looking forward to her vision and energy in supporting those we serve.”
Ms. McKenna joins the association with 25 years in the health and wellness industry. Beginning in group fitness and personal training, she has moved from group fitness management, to managing individual fitness clubs, to running multiple full sized fitness clubs. She has always connected herself to the YMCA, belonging to her hometown YMCA as a child, and later sending her own children to the YMCA of the Seacoast for swim lessons.
“I’m thrilled to join the YMCA of the Seacoast,” said Ms. McKenna “and be a part of an organization that works towards helping members to achieve their goals.”
Ms. McKenna studied Business Management at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT and Exercise Science from Castleton University in Castleton, VT.
“We are in the process of increasing our focus on programming which can really enrich the lives of families in need,” said Ms. McKenna. “I’m also looking forward to seeing the YMCA of the Seacoast have a larger role in Greater Portsmouth, working towards positively impacting the community and expanding our local relationships”.
