'Tis the Season for a Scavenger Hunt
Come help kick off the holiday season on Friday, December during The YMCA of Greater Londonderry’s 1st annual Great Candy Cane Hunt from 6:00- 7:30 pm. Children will be divided into groups according to age to go on a search for hidden candy canes. Participants will have the opportunity to find a special candy cane for a prize, decorate their own candy cane bag and sip on hot cocoa by the fire pit. The cost for this event is $5 per child, pre-registration is required.
All proceeds from this event will go to support the YMCA Reach Out for Youth and Families campaign. Reach Out for Youth and Families provides opportunities for individuals and families in surrounding Londonderry communities who are in need of financial assistance to participate in all Y program offerings. The Y nurtures the potential of children and teens, improves the nation’s health and well-being, and gives back and supports its neighbors. The YMCA of Greater Londonderry, a branch of The Granite YMCA, builds a healthy spirit, mind and body in individuals and families by instilling the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through our practices and programs.
