Explore Summer at YMCA Day Camp

Kick off a rad summer adventure! Registration opens at 10:00 am on December 5 for returning families. Day camp registration will open for members on January 9 and on February 6 for non members.

At The Granite YMCA of Somersworth’s Camp Coney Pine in Rochester, NH, campers spend the summer both indoors and outdoors participating in fun and enriching activities while making lifelong friends and memories. Our day camp offers an array of fun activities including swimming, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), creative arts, and so much more.  Throughout the summer, campers participate in special themed camp events and learn unique camp traditions. Every week campers have the opportunity to be recognized for displaying our character values.

For SUN, FUN & FRIENDSHIP

Camp Coney Pine offers a variety of day camp programs for children ages 6 – 16 including traditional camp, specialty camps, Leader In Training (LIT), Counselor In Training (CIT). Learn about all of our camp offerings below!

  • Coney Pine Hatchlings

    Entering 1st - 2nd Grade

    Join us as we explore the outdoors! The Hatchlings will venture into camp and learn all of our camp traditions. They will participate in activities like archery, adventure, swimming, arts and crafts, and so much more. Introduce your child to the summer camp life!

  • Coney Pine Nestlings

    Entering 3rd - 4th Grade

    Join us as we explore the outdoors! The Nestlings will try new things and practice activities they may have done in the past. They will participate in activities like archery, adventure, swimming, arts and crafts, and so much more. Allow your camper to hone their skills this summer!

  • Coney Pine Fledglings

    Entering 5th - 6th Grade

    Join us as we explore the outdoors! The Fledglings will learn to master camp activities and try some more advanced ones. They will participate in activities like archery, adventure, swimming, arts and crafts, and so much more. Allow your camper to hone their skills this summer!

  • Coney Pine Eagles

    Entering 7th - 8th Grade

    Give your teenager the classic camp experience jam-packed with traditional camp activities that are tailored towards older campers. Campers will get plenty of opportunities to give input on daily camp activities to allow them to enjoy their camp experience the way they want. Additionally, they will get the chance to leave the nest and go on field trips to state parks/beaches, amusement parks, and so much more.

  • Specialty Camps

    Entering 2nd - 8th Grade

    Have a hobby you want to explore? Then specialty camps are for you! At Camp Coney Pine, we offer specialized camps each summer such as fort building, Lego camp, ultimate sports, DIY art camp, and more. A typical day starts off with specialty activities, followed by lunch and additional activities like swimming, structured games, and more.

  • Leader In Training (LIT)

    Entering 8th - 9th Grade

    The Leader In Training program is a blended, two-week camp experience for teens. This opportunity will introduce teens to the Y leadership philosophy, facilitating character development, learning to build and lead activities, as well as give them time to enjoy being a camper. Teens who register for this program will be asked to complete an application and interview process to demonstrate their readiness and excitement for the program.

  • Counselor In Training (CIT)

    Entering 10th - 11th Grade

    The Counselor In Training (CIT) program is a four-week camp experience for the teen who wants to make a difference, and potentially work in camp when they are of age. In this program, participants will work on individual and group dynamics, character development, life skills, and more! They will learn about and gain introductions to assisting with programming.A certificate will be provided at a recognition event at the end of the summer.

MEET THE STAFF

  • Mia Brikiatis

    Mia Brikiatis

    Camp Coney Pine Director

    Mia joined The Granite YMCA staff in 2019 while she worked towards both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the education field. Since then, Mia has worked in multiple different childcare positions at the Y. This will be Mia’s fifth summer at Camp Coney Pine! What drew Mia to the Y were the core values of respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty that align closely to her own personal beliefs. In her free time, she enjoys going hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and anything outdoors!
