HOOKSETT DAY CAMP

Ready, Set, Summer

Kick off a rad summer adventure! Registration opens at 10:00 am on December 2 for returning families. Day camp registration will open for members on January 6 and on February 3 for non members.

Healthy fun, new friends, adventure, and personal growth. Campers will experience all of this and more at the YMCA Day Camp of Hooksett, located at Hooksett Memorial School in Hooksett, NH. Designed for campers of all ages, day camp activities will include swimming, sports, adventure, archery, arts & crafts, gaga ball, nature and more. Our weekly camp themes add to the excitement of camp! Day camp staff is comprised of experienced counselors who are carefully screened and trained to foster the Y’s four core values. We provide children with a priceless experience in a safe and supportive environment where their safety is our top priority. Your camper is sure to end their summer with memories to last a lifetime!

The YMCA Day Camp of Hooksett offers a variety of day camp programs for children ages 6 – 16 including traditional camp, teen camp, Leader In Training, and Counselor In Training. Learn about all of our camp offerings below!

  • Hooksett Acorns & Oaks

    Entering 1st - 5th Grade

    Healthy fun! New friends! Adventure and personal growth! Memories to last a lifetime. Campers will experience this and more at YMCA Day Camp of Hooksett located at Hooksett Memorial School. Activities are age appropriate and include swimming (at the YMCA of Downtown Manchester), sports, adventure, archery, arts & crafts, gaga ball, nature and more. Camp themes add to the excitement of camp.

  • Teen Camp

    Entering 6th - 8th Grade

    Adventures! New Friends! Fun! Memories to last a lifetime! Why stay home this summer when you can join other teens to enjoy a summer filled with new experiences, new games, community service opportunities, a weekly trip and more designed just for you?

    Leader In Training (LIT)

    Entering 8th - 9th Grade

    The Leader In Training program is a blended, two-week camp experience for teens. This opportunity will introduce teens to the Y leadership philosophy, facilitating character development, learning to build and lead activities, as well as give them time to enjoy being a camper. Teens who register for this program will be asked to complete an application and interview process to demonstrate their readiness and excitement for the program.

  • Counselor In Training (CIT)

    Entering 10th - 11th Grade

    The Counselor In Training (CIT) program is a four-week camp experience for the teen who wants to make a difference, and potentially work in camp when they are of age. In this program, participants will work on individual and group dynamics, character development, life skills, and more! They will learn about and gain introductions to assisting with programming.A certificate will be provided at a recognition event at the end of the summer.

    Karen "Cookie" Provost

    YMCA Day Camp of Hooksett Director

    Karen or “Cookie” joined the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown staff in January 2016 after serving 2 ½ years on the Camp Advisory Committee and oversaw Camp Halfmoon from 2016 – 2020. In 2021, she became the director of YMCA Day Camp of Hooksett. Cookie is passionate about the power of the camp experience to change lives and enjoys continuing to build relationships with campers and their families.
