Catalinas Synchronized Swimming
Grace, Strength & Teamwork. The Granite YMCA Catalinas is a competitive synchronized swimming team based out of the YMCA of Downtown Manchester. The sport is a wholesome combination of speed swimming, running, dance, and gymnastics. Swimmers will learn about different types of music and how to count it, effective and safe stretching techniques, and healthy cardio and endurance training. Coaches also teach swimmers about health and nutrition for positive body image. The Catalinas team is comprised of several competitive divisions. Younger and older girls work together sharing and mentoring important aspects of the sport.
